I am doing the same thing, I was told by someone else on the board that the only exhaust manifold that will fit is a stock 68' 289 mustang.
All the headers I've looked into have required a little denting of the shock towers with a sledge hammer, or the use of a power steering drop bracket. These manifolds provide just enough clearence on both side's although the driver side manifold is about a 1/4 of an inch away from the steering box.
Use a C-4 tranny wiht some extra clutchs to handle the torque of the 351w. A C-6 would require modifications of the tranny tunnel.
You need to get V-8 frame to engine mount brackets. I not so sure about the torque straps, I wonder if that might be the 351C. At least I hope not because I don't have any.
You will need new springs try Granada 250 with a/c springs or Mav 302 with a/c. I don't know about hood clearence yet.
