I'm done with the restoration of my '76 Mav. Just got the wheels & rims tonight. Replaced the drivers-side door hinges and they work great (good advice from the board). I've got my new carb and blower today for my 250 six and will be cutting the hood out this weekend for the scoop (blower clearance). I know a six cyl is lame as opposed to a 302 or 351 but I'm happy kicking butt in my Mav with its *existing* six (Accel ignition, balanced & b/p, after cat dual). I'll probably bring it up there but not before we have a Texas get-together to compare notes and make sure its really show-worthy (my first restoration project of any kind). I'll let ya know!

: I am now the new Alabama State rep, and I want to get a Mini Meet down south. The (now defunct) Performance Ford Club has a Birmingham Chapter (still around) that holds a pretty good show & drag at Lassiter Mtn Speedway in Birmingham, AL. In fact, there were three mavericks there this year. It is the last Saturday in September.
