I am a 31, and I still have my first car that I bought at 15. THough it wasn't a mav, a 67 camaro, I know what you mean about maintaining an old car. So rather than tear it up, I bought a new truck, biggest pile of crap ever had. Traded for another new truck. Anyway, 3 new truck, and several new cars later, I now have a 72 Mav, and a 74 Grabber that I don't drive everyday, but I could if I had to. If you want a cheap car that will get decent mileage, and is dead on reliable, find an old VW Bug. I had 4 of them, got one now, and parts are cheap for em. They're available all over, especially in Calif. Drive your Mav until you find one of them, fix up the old bug and keep your mav off the road. You will regret selling your mav especially as nice as that one is. Sell it, and it will probably get destroyed.
