...Just a little food for thought: Back in the mid/late 80's Ford went Group-B racing with turbo Cosworth powered Escorts. For those unfamiliar with that class, it was an "unlimited" rally category. These were mid-engined 4wd subcompacts that raced the forests & deserts of Europe and Africa (anyone remember that turbo Renualt in the James Bond movie?). The Cosworth engine was a 2.3L based engine w/ a twincam head. It made something like 800hp!! These cars were so fast that the class was eventually banned. Now there is a fun idea for a wild Mav;-)
