Don't worry; the 250 vs. 302 discussion is old news and we don't want to "beat a dead horse". Basicly, if you want more horsepower you have to consider what makes horse power. Your engine is basicly an air pump. It sucks air in and pushes it out. The main things that determine the power your engine will make are:
Intake, Compression ratio, valve lift & duration (camshaft), and exhaust. Competition Cams makes good camshafts for the 250. You can raise the compression ratio by milling the cylinder head (or installing taller pistons, but that would require a rebuild). You can get an aftermarket intake manifold and carburetor. And, you can reduce exhaust restriction by increasing the pipe diameter and using a Turbo muffler or a Flowmaster. I think headers are available for this engine but I'm not sure. Also, increasing initial ignition can give the engine a little "kick in the pants" but don't exceed 38 degrees total timing.
Any emission control devices you can remove (and get away with) will also help your motor make more power. Install an open element aircleaner. And remember; INTAKE, CAM, COMPRESSION and EXHAUST. Ultimately, it all comes down to how much money you're willing to spend....

: What can I do to put a couple more Horses Powers in
: my 250 engine. I dont wanna swap the engine, and I dont wanna a race car.
: Just a couple more HP to get it a bit more agressive.

: Please dont start a discussion about 250 VS 302...
