: (Regulars should know I would just jump screaming into this one!)
: Yeap! That's exactly right on the money! Another Websight that talks about the 691/2 MAV????!!! (Sorry, this has been the sorce of a mini uprising led by yours truly! Hey! if Mustang owners can claim a 64 1/2 why can't we?)
: You should post the websight too!!

: : )

The site was called "Virtual Maverick" and the URL is ==> http://www.geocities.com/MotorCity/Downs/4769/slider.html

Here's the text from that page==>

"Ford also made a 1969 and a half maverick, total production number from ford equals 27,500 ( Mine was purchased by my mother on april 6, 1969 )
This model only came in the 2 door model, only offered a inline 6, the old style seat belts (one for your lap and one for your shoulder, which
are not connected together and are also not retracktable) and had no real upgrade packages availible except for automatic transmission. If
you would like to know weather a Maverick is from this small first group all that is needed for you to check really is the placement of the ignition switch. On all Mavericks after this first batch the ignition is located within the steering colum, but on this group the ignition was mounted on the shelf between the steering colum and the radio. It is secured there by a metal plate on the bottom of the plastic shelf for extra support and had 2 3/8" size self locking nuts. Another way you will notice is that parts for the maverick do not fit."

So, my 70 is REALLY one of 28k 69 1/2's?
