Craig's absolutely right, no Mav's built in '70 were factory equipped with a V-8! Other hints are dual scooped hood, rear deck-lid spoiler (obviously). The "sport lamps" in the grill (like the signals on '73 and later models). Lastly (and any input from the rest of "the gang" would be helpful here!) the 3rd and 4th digits of the "V.I.N" should be a '93' (I know this to be accurate for '73 and later anyway!). The Vehicle Identification Number also indicates the year (1st digit) and location/factory (2nd 'digit') of manufacture and the engine (5th 'digit') as originally installed by FoMoCo. For example: '4K93F101000' would be a 1974 model built in Kansas City as a Grabber with a 302 2V originally installed...the rest are a "sequential series of production" numbers - this was Mav #101000 in the production run. Hope this helps!!

: Well, first of all, NO 1970 Mavericks had a V-8 from the Factory, so we can rule that out. The 1970 Grabbers had (look for these): An All-Black Plastic Grill (not painted black, but cast in black plastic). This grill is very rare and only appeared on 1970 Grabbers and 1972 Sprints. Also look for dual racing mirrors, an all black vinyl interior, and more. If you have any more questions, email me.

: : I don't know if my 1970,2-door Mav. with a 302
: : is a grabber. How can I tell? Thanks!
