: I'm writing to say that a Maverick is one bad ass car. You can't go wrong with one, its sturdy, fast, and muscle. These cars are smooth. I own a 75' Maverick with a 302 small-block, it's dark blue with blue interior. Its awesome.

I own a '73 Comet with a factory 302. Yes, these cars are definitely excellent cars! Mine is still incredibly tight&solid after 25 years. As a general rule, I have found Ford products from the early seventies to be amazingly tight as far as fit&finish go. My '73 does not have any air leaks around the windows,or any water leaks after 25 years! Combined with supreme dependability, I believe that Ford was definitly the top auto manufacturer in America during that time period.
