No, the 'C' DEFINATELY doesn't stand for "compact". It stands for Cleveland and it's a monster with HUGE valves and ports. Yes, headers are made for the 351 Windsor (Hooker comes to mind) and there are a couple of companies making them but there will be "some" modification necessary for the Maverick/Comet. As far as converters; personally I wouldn't mess around with "lock-up" torque converters. I'm not sure if they're even made for the C-4 or not but it won't help performance. It could however, slightly improve gas mileage but if you wanted good economy, you wouldn't be trying to install a 351. B&M and TCI make good aftermarket converters with different stall speeds available. You just have to know what you want from your car...

: I am looking for any info on installations of 351W engines in the maverick. I have seen references to something called a 351 compact or C engine. Any clues??
: ALsdo does anyone know if headers are available for installing a 351W into a maverick??? I am also trying to get a little better performance on the highway and someone has suggested to me trying a lock-up converter or an overdrive converter. Does anyone have info on these being available in the after market??? Also looking to reinstall an a\c system in my car. Unfortunately I am in need of almost an entire system. If there are any factory aa\c systems laying around out there, please let me know.

: Thanks

: Matt
