"You're an IDIOT and you don't deserve a Maverick ( you're probably a redneck too). If you have to ask how to "jack up the rear" of a car, then you probably shouldn't be working on it in the first place and get someone who's qualified 'cause YOU are OBVIOUSLY NOT."...

: I didn't want your opinion on how it looks or what you think. I plan to jack the whole car up about 2 inches (that includes the front, just in case you couldn't figure it out), but I already know how to do that. I was looking for some technical information, if I wanted an asshole's opinion I would have farted!!!

: : That's NOT the way to "jack up" the rear. Also; (and you might want to explain this to your fiance') raising the rear might look cool to some people, but the fact is that it's not real smart. For one thing, it kills the car's handling (which also makes the vehicle unsafe) and throws the front -end out of alignment (which eats tires). It also puts an excessive load on the front suspension components and causes rear brake "lock-up". And personally, I think it looks totally STUPID. If cars were supposed to be "jacked up", they'd come that way from the factory. 'Nuff said...

: : : My fiance has a 1972 maverick grabber. I'm in the process of
: : : putting a 302 in it and while i'm working she asks me if I
: : : can jack the back end up too. So I'm wondering what is the
: : : easiest way to get the leaf springs to the top of the axles.
: : : If anybody can help me with some info it sure would make me
: : : happy!!! Thanks.
