My goodness, I don't check back for 24 hours and all HELL breaks loose!!

I would have to say that jacking up a car all the way around was big in the 80's, but has kind of passed away now. 2" is not all that much, and can look good. A friend of mine did it to his Maverick and it looked great.....but that was back in the 80's. Besides what it does to the tires and suspension, it is just plain UNSAFE!! Especially on a small bumpered car. The gas tank is just inches away from a rear end collision and ....BOOM...you've been Pinto-ized. I, along with everybody else, would recommend NOT jacking the car up all the way around, but do what you like.

: My fiance has a 1972 maverick grabber. I'm in the process of
: putting a 302 in it and while i'm working she asks me if I
: can jack the back end up too. So I'm wondering what is the
: easiest way to get the leaf springs to the top of the axles.
: If anybody can help me with some info it sure would make me
: happy!!! Thanks.
