: YES!! Muffler bearings should be checked evertime you change your oil. They should be "packed" at least every 10,000 miles, and definitely changed every 25,000. If you don't change the bearings, you can seriously burn up the engine. Get them CHANGED!!!

: While you are at it, check the left and right handed smoke benders coming off the exhaust manifold. You will need a special left handed monkey wrench to check the left hand side. If those are bad, it takes a special tool to remove them. It is called a "sky hook", and available at most tool rental places. While your there, get a left-handed hammer for easier removal of the left-handed smoke bender.
