I do know they have the same bolt-up dimensions as a small block
toploader. I put one in place of a three speed toploader in a
'65 Mustang a long time ago. Don't recall any great problems, and
it still worked when I sold the car. I don't see why it wouldn't
work in a Maverick, as long as the transmission is from a Ford
application. I guess shifters are still available?
