You need a 7/8" front sway bar which was actually an option on some '75 and later Mavericks (3/4" was standard). I was fortunate enough to find one of these in a junk yard a few years ago. Otherwise you can get excellent aftermarket sway-bars from Addco performance suspensions for abour $120.00. For even MORE handling, they offer a 3/4" rear bar for about the same price. Other improvements would be to add a leaf to the rear springs and go with PolyGraphite bushings up front. Low profile tires add a lot of handling improvement. And avoid air-shocks. Hope this helps...

: I ran into another Maverick person this weekend and the discussion
: was about handling and suspensions. In his opinion the
: best investment is a larger front sway bar. So....
: what do I need and where do I find it.
: p.s. only the REAL T.L. needs to respond.
