I had a similar problem with my Mav a few years ago.
A little service tip to help next time with vacuume leaks - use a can of "instant start" spray ether with a WD-40 type straw in the spray nozel to focus the spray point. Lightly spray the ether around suspected leaks while the engine is running and listen to the rpms. RPM's will go up when you spray the ether near the leak.
