Yup! I knew those Granadas were great donors!!! I've done the same...and the really great part is that most interior colors for the two are an easy match!

: "Glove boxes" were OPTIONAL in '73 and standard from '74-'77. "74-75 had a cut-out for the hand parking brake lever while '76-'77 models had the fuse box where the hand brake used to be. My '73 doesn't have one but I did install bucket seats (Grabber-high back) and floor shifter, so I put a Granada Ghia console in it. Looks like it was born there. That's where I keep stuff you would normally keep in a glove box....

: : : I own a '72, 2 door, 302, C-4. I was wondering what years/models they had a glove box and what years they didn't. Its a pain in the butt trying to find a good place to put my registration, insurance, etc..... Since I have bench seats, there is very little room to put a console in. Anyone understand the logic behind this? What have you guys come up with to store the stuff you need?

: : The logic behind this was solely $$$$. Ford was saving money. In my '70, I got tired of exact same thing, so during a junkyard trip, i found a perfect bottom 1/2 including a glove box. I got the whole thing for about $15-20. Although it doesn't match up perfectly with my old dash, it doesn't look that bad, and took a little creativity, but nothing anyone couldn't do. It also had vents that I plan on turing into speaker holders, or something else. Anyway, it worked for me. Sorry I don't know the year of the donor car, but there were quite a few out there.....good luck.
