Hey folks! I've been checking out this message board and have been waiting for the right time to post a message. Well, the time has come. I just purchased a 69.5 Maverick with a 200CID engine. I know it's a 69.5 because of the wonderful info I've been reading on this message board. (Key switch mounted on dashboard, horn ring instead of buttons, seperate lap and shoulder seat belts, VIN code 27H). It's painted blue with very little rust. I'm going to make some modifications to it in the near future. The car is for my son, he's 13. I figure by the time we get it cherry, he'll be ready to drive. I know there's some slight differences between the 69.5 and the 70, like it didn't come through with the 302CID. With that being said, will a 302CID fit in the 69.5? I know it fits in the 70. Also, I heard that there were some slight differences in the front suspension, (ball joints, control arms etc). Is this true?
