I had a 70 (late) w/ a 200 6 in it. From 178,000 to 240,000 mi she smoked and fouled plugs . she also used 1/4 a qt of oil with each tank of gas. the 200 6 is a very forgiving motor but seeing how rare of a car you have I would suggest doing a head job on it or at least putting new valve guides in

: I have a 70 Maverick with a 200 six cylinder. It only has 40,000 miles on it. Lately it has started missing/dragging(?) when I accelerate, usually going uphill. It seems to be getting worse each day. Any suggestions? Also, I seem to be losing oil at about a rate of a quart a month, even though the car doesn't smoke at all. Is this a characteristic of Mavericks, or is something really wrong here?
: Love my Maverick!!!
