My 2nd car was a '75 Comet with a 250 inline six, 3-speed manual trans, & power steering. This car only had 135,000mi. on it ( my Mav has 177,000) and was a rust bucket from hell. It used a quart of oil per week and smoked real REAL bad. I had to change spark plugs every three months. Some chick rear-ended me one snowy icey day and the first thing I did was LAUGH (even though I got a neck injury from it). The good thing about the car was that I got it for $400.00 and drove it for about a year-and-a half so I could garage the Maverick. It's hard to restore a car when it's your daily driver. I finally gave the car to a friend so he could part it out...
