What you have is a broken turn signal plastic "cam" on the switch. I know The Paddock (Mustang Parts) sells a replacement cam, but it seemed to me that it would be alot of work to grind down the factory rivets to replace the original plastic cam piece. Luckily, I had a donor car with a good turn signal switch. Now I just have to replace the entire switch and harness....which is probably just as hard to do.

Anyways, that is what is wrong with your turn signal switch. If you pull off the steering wheel, you can see the plastic "cam" I am talking about. You may even see that it is broke, or at a minimum...worn out.

: How many of you have to hold the turn signal arm up to signal right but it will lock into position just fine to signal left? please respond via e-mail etanisme@yahoo.com
