Which "engine" light...'temp' maybe? If only the radiator is dry and the oil is truly o.k. then my bet is a water pump 'gone to the big parts house in the sky'. Just a guess though, I'm a "looky-touchy-smelly-tasty" kind of mechanic. I know it's after the fact, but a gauge is FAR superior to an 'idiot light' (no offense Glenn, it's just the common term for those lights that come on to tell you it's too late to do anything about the problem!).
