: ok heres the deal on sunday i was driving back to school after going home for the weekend it is about 190 miles but i make the drive often, i am about an hour into my return ride when all of a sudden the mav makes a wierd clunking noise, and then a bumping noise (almost like the sound of a flat) and then it stopped making noise, then click the engine light went on for about two seconds then clicked off, i started to pull over to the side of the road and all of a sudden the enging started like majorly smoking so i pulled over, as i was doing this the engine died out. i get out and open the hood and the engine is smoking but i couldnt tell from where, i get donw ona look under and there is radiator fluid and a black fluid which looked like oil pouring onto the pavement. i let the engine stop smoking then try to crank it to see if i can at least drive it to the next exit and get to a gas station and call, it wont start, itll turn over and smoke but it just wont catch, i end up pushing it about a mile to the exit and a gas station. the next day my uncle comes up and tows it back home, he called and told me that the engine isnt all messed up like we thought, but the radiator is completely dry but the oil is completely fine. he filled the radiator and it wont start,
: do any of you have any ideas what could be the problem here?
: the fluids are regularly checked and filled so im not sure what the problem is
