: : Once more, I beg to differ. There is NO question that there was a Shelby Maverick
: : constructed by the Ford plant in Mexico. The SAAC (reluctantly) adknowledge the

: : existence of the car. It wasn't sold Stateside because of emissions and

: : The Shelby club says that 303 of the cars were built. Chuck Stalnaker

: : I am still looking for an authentic, documented car. It would be SWEET to

: : : There was a website on Shelby of Mexico and it did talk about the Maverick. Unfortunately, the site no longer exists.
: : :
: : : : I've never heard of a Shelby Maverick and seriously doubt they were ever made. Don't you think Ford would have told us if they made such a car? Why would Carol Shelby waste his time building a car that would never be produced or sold in USA?...

: : : : : Hello Maverick Fans:
: : : : :
: : : : : I am trying to find out some authoritative information on the very rare Shelby Mavericks produced in the Mexico plant.
: : : : : SAAC has some information in their new Shelby directory, but it is pretty limited.
: : : : : My goal is to purchase an original car (that can be exhaustively DOCUMENTED), or build an authentic clone.
: : : : : Does anyone know anything authoritative?
: : : : : Let me know . . .
: : : : :
: : : : : Thanks,

Hi T.L.:
Check out the new SAAC Registry. Lots of info on the Shelby Maverick.
And Chuck Stalnaker has Mexican factory documentation on the car (copies in \
my possession). the car is little known, but definitely it existed!
