I'm afraid the right way is not cheap...as mentioned either re-arch or replace them as a permanent fix. An interim solution which is a little less costly (but not by much) is some 'coil-over' shocks, they don't make the ride as harsh as "pumped-up" air shocks and help reduce the effects of SFA (my '74 Grabber suffers the same 'disease')
