Do your research carefully here. The interchange manual says
physically they will interchange, but there was some change
made between '73 and '74. The Ford shop manual from '70 says
there is an 8cc difference in the size of the combustion
chambers. This may pump you up a tad too much. 8cc is a very
large change on a 302, and would be even greater on a 250.
