If your Maverick is in as good a shape as you say it is, why don't you go ahead and give it the paint &headliner it deserves? You got a great deal on this car! This car is worth significantly more than $400! In light of the fact that you owned a '70 Pontiac, you obviously appreciate well-built older american cars. Therefore, fix your Maverick up, and enjoy it. Mavericks are great little cars. If you cannot tell yet that they handle extremely well(far better than any early '70s LeMans,Chevelle, Cutlass,Skylark), are cute little cars, and with a 302 will put any 350-powered GM intermediate to shame. WAKE UP PAL!! Hold on to your Maverick!! Fords are much better cars than Pontiacs in all respects.
