Hey Sarah,
I really honestly don't know what you're talking about. Those who know me on this message board know that I'm a pretty decent guy and am not mean to people. Why is it okay for them to express their opinions (however erronious) but not okay for me to express mine? You sound like a liberial and if you stop visiting this page because of me then your problems started long before you ever discovered this page. Although I do not know EVERYTHING about these cars, most of the people who frequent this page know that I have a clue. I've owned my 302 equipped Maverick for over 16 years, had a 250 equipped Comet for three, and know older Fords pretty well. I can honestly tell you that I've made more friends than enemies on this message board. And just because I disagree with someone doesn't mean that I don't respect them. It's only when they get beligerant with me that I lose all respect and really, only one person has done that so far and he doesn't seem to visit this page anymore. As far as my name; what difference does it make if I give my full name or my initials when you don't know me anyway? I go by T.L. My sister calls me T.L. and that's just the way it is. I'm sorry you have a problem with that. Also, I have given my E-mail address a couple of times and don't see any reason to give it every single time I post. Finally, if someone makes an erronious statement on this board, I'm going to set them straight and if that offends you then I'm sorry. And if I made an untrue statement I would expect somone to do the same for me. Frankly Sarah, I'm ofended that you're offended...

: : Don't try to compare your 300 i-6 to a Maverick 250 because they are NOT the same engine. Also; if you've ever driven a 460 equipped Ford, you'd know that that no six cylinder would have a snowball's chance in hell of hanging with it (at ANYspeed) and neither would a 302. People just need to stop trying to fool "mother nature". If you own a Maverick and you like it, then I don't care what engine it has, as long as you're happy with it. But don't make ridiculous statements like saying an inline six performes like a V-8 because it just shows ignorance...

: Dear T.l.-
: I have been a big fan of Mavericks since I first saw one in my hometown several years ago. I own a "72 Grabber, which I really love. When I first stumbled upon this page last year, I was excited to find others who also liked Mavericks. I have stopped visiting this page because of you, and now it has come to the point where I can't take it anymore and I must ask you...What is your problem, anyway? Why are you so opinionated and mean to people? I don't want to hurt your feelings or anything, I just want to know why you say such mean things to people. I find it disturbing how you can belittle the ideas of others so frequently, and you don't even feel bad about it. I realize that you think you know all there is to know about Mavericks, but my friends and I just laugh at you because all you sound like is a fool. I wish that you would just grow up or stop leaving unpleasant messages to people who truly love Mavericks. I am very sorry if I hurt you or offended you, I just want you to realize that sometimes you're just not a very nice guy. If you have anything to say in response, please leave your name, (not initials) and a personal e-mail address so that I may talk with you personally. I apologize to all others who had to read this. I just felt that it had to be addressed before other people's,(especially those who are new) feelings get hurt. This attitude makes this page look bad.

: sincerely,
: Sarah Atkins
