I put power locks in my latest Maverick project, but they didn't come from a kit. I used all Ford parts from a junkyard Mustang for that factory look. It was very EASY to do, and probably cost me less than one of those kits. As for power windows, I haven't quite figured that one out yet. I'd like to do away with the knurled shaft the hand crank attaches to, but I'm afraid to remove it for fear that I won't be able to properly bolt up a motor. I'm not crazy about the ones that fit on the outside of the door panel, they're kind of ugly to me.

Just my two cents...

: Has anyone tried installing either the power windows or power locks offered by some of the aftermarket companies. I've been told Mav. windows are probably too heavy for these motors. Any ideas? I've also been told mazda rx-7 p.window motors are better. NOthing like adding modern technology.....
