You WILL have to cut back the shock towers and re-weld 'em. Standars V-8, A/C springs will work fine. You will need custom headers (about $400) and you may need to do something with the cooing-fan so it doesn't hit the radiator. I have seen this done and it IS possible IF you have bOTH the monet AND the ambition...


: I'm thinking of a new powertrain for my Maverick, more vintage styled, well sort of. I always wanted a 351C with 2bbl. heads in one (4bbl heads have way more flow then I feel is nessasary for the street). I know a 351 Windsor would be easier, but I really want a cleveland. with an AOD behind it with around a 3.25-3.50 gear. Any9ne familiar with this? Would the shock towers need cut? Also what front springs could I use? Exhaust manifords, or are their headers made for this?
