Bumpers on Mavericks are very easy to remove, it just takes a few bolts and is very easy to figure out. The brackets also come away from the bumper in the same manner. Go to a junkyard, get a couple of brackets for $5 or $10, replace, and put it back on. Should take maybe half an hour. There is no need to weld if it is just the bracket that is rusty.

: hey guys. i have a very technical question i need answered. how can i fix my rear bumper if its about to fall off? the mount on the drivers side has rusted through, and im afraid its going to fall off sometime very soon. should i spend $50 to have someone weld some metal on there, or should i just rip it off or what? is it illegal to drive without a rear bumper? thanks guys.
