I would just go with Auto Zone or Parts America "specials"...They are gas-charged and are already better than OEM...Thr fronts are around $10/ea. and the rears are about $20/ea. Sure, you can spend $300 on Koni or KYB racing shocks but on a Maverick it ain't worth it...& Shocks have little to do with alignment...
: I'm needing to replace the front and rear shocks on my 73 Maverick...considering how fragile the front suspension is on these cars, i'm wanting to get a fairly heavy-duty shock that will protect my suspension (looking at my second realignment in 4 months)...wanted to know if anyone has any good options....thanks...
