As the owner of a 68 Ford Truck with a 240, I would not recommend this engine as a base to build a tough 6 from. The 300 is a better choice, however, it would be doubtful you could shoe horn this thing in your Mav easily, thus I would go with the 250, much more adaptable, and you cna put some good mods in it to get hp up to a respectable range for it. Clifford, Isky, and Holley are some good parts sources for the straight 6.
