...They're 3.55:1 Mine came from a '74 V-6 car as well. The V-8 Mustang-IIs were not available with 3.55s, but they may have had "possi" rearends so check those too...

: All original V6 cars had 8-inches.
: All 1974 Mustang II's had 3.50 gears (even 7.5")
: Therefore, look for a 1974 V6 car, and you'll have a 8-inch 3.50.
: Posi was an option (I've never seen one)

: : SOME OF THEM HAD 8 INCH REARS BUT A LOT OF THEM HAD THE SMALL CHEESY REARS LIKE THE PINTO. THOSE REAR ENDS HAD RATIOS FROM 2.73 UP TO 3.40 AND SOME OF THE PINTOS EVEN HAD 3.55's. THE MAJORITY OF THE 4 CYL CARS HAD THE SMALL REAR IN THEM. YES YOU ARE RIGHT, YOU CAN FIND AN 8 INCH REAR IN A MUSTANG 2 AND GEARS ARE CHEAP ENOUGH FROM SUMMIT AND A FEW PLACES THAT YOU CAN JUST PICK YOUR RATIO....
