If you are going to change the engine why not go with the V8. I'm not sure the 240/300 swap will be any less expensive than a V8.

: I was looking through my jeg's the other day, i saw a four-bbl manifold for the 240/300. According to the little article next to the manifold, adding the manifold, cam, and one other small thing (duh, can't think right now...) you can add 115hp. I'd assume you get about 150hp to start with, so 260 or so hp from a i6 ain't bad! Are the 240's a rare engine, difficult fit (like the 300), or what? I am going to have to rebuild my i6 200 pretty soon, it's getting pretty bad...and since at least one of my valves is burned it would probably be a lot cheaper to get a better engine to start with (i'd like to go with a straight swap for now, and then a v8 when i have an excess of money). Maybe i should just get a 250 for now?
: Thanks!
