As far as sealer goes, depending on the school of thought from which one
is originally taught, some swear by using a sealer when installing new hoses,
some avoid it. When installing the new hoses to and from the cooler,(about
$9 from Advance) just drain the old fluid, which will go everywhere and
is the most viscous fluid in the Mav. (type F) pull the old hose and cut a
new piece to legnth. I use sealer when installing hoses. One argument is not to
use it, as it makes removal harder. After 20 years, you will probably have
to slice the ends to remove the old one without damaging the fitting, and
will have to slice it 20 years from now. I'm referring to a sealer you
apply to the fitting before you install the new hose, not the additive
you can pour in the pump. Use new hose clamps.

Wick'n'lock is a product that fills gaps. It is some kind of resin. I mainly
use it when reinstalling valve guides in bikes. I have used it to repair the
vacuum motor on my maverick. It would not be something I would rely on for
a long period of time in the PS cooler, as type F is very causic, but it
could keep you on the road untill you can find, fabricate, or afford a new one.

With winter coming, you could get by with bypassing the cooler...
