Your best resource is this board for your 302 swap quaestions.
Generally, I'd use your 6 cyl auto trans. It has a higher stall speed than a V8, but that is good as far as performance. You should probablt change your rear end to an 8 or nine inch, and your front spindles to a V8 car's. Find a V8 Maverick or Granada from a junkyard and use it's spindles (if your car is manual steer) and rear end. Thats the easiest way. Good Luck.
: I got my 69 1/2 mav from my dad a year ago when I turned 17. It had been sitting on the side of the house for about 7 years. It has a I6 200 and auto transmition. I am now in the prosses of putting in a 302. Any advice anyone could give me would be appriciated. This is my fist project car and I would like to get it done right the fist time.
