Yea, I agree you probably have sugar in the tank. You will have to drop it down and have it cleaned. If you just empty the gas you could leave enough residue to screw up another engine. Also, if your ex room mate had gotten a "how to" from say a guy like me, then he also slips one of those big tootsie rolls in the tank. It usually gets stuck just before it gets in the tank and desolves enough after a couple of fill ups to drop down in the tank. Then your locking gas cap didn't do sh*t and he got two engines for the price of a pound of sugar and a tootsie roll.
