: Probably for less tham $60 you can convert it over to Ford electronic Ignition. You can go to a junk yard & buy the distributor & module off any ford 6 of the same family. The distributor plugs directly into the module & the other plug from the module will have 2 wires, a red & a white. Hook switched 12 volt line to the red & never worry about points again. Look where the wires come out of the module & the molded plug will be blue or green. Get the blue one. Add the cost for new wires, cap & rotor & its still under $100. Down here auto stores sell remanufactured dist for about $50 but you need a core to turn in, or pay a core charge. Modules are around $40 new. So you can go with all new parts & still pay less than $150
