...It's a whole different thing. TC modulates throttle & brakes to prevent wheel spin in slippery conditions. This is great to prevent loss of control, but is no fun when going for max acceleration in the dry. Hence the switch to turn it off. Also, I thought the 300M is front drive;-)
My grandfather just got a 1999 Chrystler 300M. It has a posi rear, and a button on the dash labled trac off. It will turn off the posi traction. What is the point of this? It's been driving me crazy for a month, trying to figure out why you would want to kill your posi. Any ideas?
