: :if you have the K code manifolds use them. I would recommend porting them out some to breathe better. They will fit. kep you pipe size to around 2 1/4" nothing smaller and make them duals. Exhaust piping is VERY important to preformence. What goes in the engine needs to get out.
Choke it back and all the horsepower you have in the engine ain't worth a dam. People build big HP then choke it with bad exhaust systems.
Seen a resent acticle on the diffence between headers and the K code manifolds very informative.
It's the Oct 99 issue of Mustangs and Fords, get it very good issue, worth the time to fine it.
I have a 70 Maverick , I just installed a 302 and I am wondering if Tri-Y headers made for Mustangs will fit?
: I am not positive, but I think this was posted long ago ( I was wondering the same thing...also about K code manifolds), I am pretty sure somebody said they had tried and they wouldn't fit cause of the steering components. If you already have them (tri-y's) and find out they do fit....please post it!!!! This is good info.! I hope they do work....
