The Hurst Tech support is excellent. Go to their web site, tell them what model shifter and what you want to install it into. Depending on the shifter, mounting bracket, and linkage rods, you may or may not have to cut up your tranny tunnel. Hurst makes linkage rods that hug the transmission, as well as straight rods which require cutting the floor pan. When I put in my Hurst V-gate shifter, I had to cut up the tunnel quite a bit. I was able to fabricate a housing and surprisingly, the carpet fit rather well. I have run the car really hard and have not experienced any problems with that section of the floor cut out.

As a side note, you ought to see how much I had to cut away to get my Doug Nash 5 speed and Long shifter in.
