: Justin, the victor jr. are a little much for daily driving but only if you over cam and use the victor jr manifold. use the jr heads with RPM preformer manifold. Don't use a carb bigger then 650CFM. and use a cam in the Pref. RPM Pref range the RPM preformer is just alittle big for the street, but on a car that weighs less then 2900lbs, you can get away with it,
Stay with gearing between 3.40 to 3.73, , you didn't say about your trans, auto or stick, makes a diff on the combination, post your trans info for more assistance. Manuls no problems, autos can need some changes , nothing big just new convertor.
It's like the old 429CJ heads screamers 3000rpms above, below that a big slow on the street, Ford recommended use the regular heads, smaller ports, and the CJ valves, like they did in the 429PI,
Hi i have a 351w and i am about to buy new heads and i was just wondering if anyone has victor jr. heads on there engine. i know edelbrock doesnt recomend them for a street car and i dont want to completely kill torque but i have heard a couple of people use them with no problem or should i get some smaller heads like trick flow heads? Thanks
