I think i'd definitely stay away from that package, only because of cost though. The set i found was in perfect condition, the car itself was in good shape (and the place was called "New Mexico's Used Cow Source", so how expensive could they be?). I suppose that spending a couple hundred on the suspension would be a better alternative than spending literally thousands over time replacing those damn front tires too....not to mention the disc brakes which i need anyways.
But, basically, the suspension would fit?? I think i'll go back down there some time and meaure everything out, then i'll probably just borrow a cutting torch from a friend and cut the thing out. I suppose everything would have to be exact in terms off offset from the front though.
Actually, i wonder...if i used the current crossmember and just welded the suspension on to the sides? How do the engines mount in the 'stang II's--on the crossmember? Another determining factor would be getting rid of the shock towers in the mav, which would unfortunately mean re-doing the motor mounts (but also mean an incredible increase in engine capacity and a savings in weight). Plus options like headers and clevelands without stupid tricks!
Thanks!
Chris
