As for the back seat, there are two bolts along the bottom of the seat that need to come out first. They are hard to find if you still have the bottom part in. Then you pull it up and out. Then you will see how the speaker board comes out. I have 6X9's back there too and I used a piece of 1/8" masonite and covered it with some thin carpet (the kind they use for decks on fishing boats) to cover it and match the interior. Anything thicker than that and it will not fit under the panels like the original. Mine sounds great now and no more rattle problems.
: I am having trouble getting the top part of my back seat out on my 70 mav and I would appreciate if someone would tell me how it comes out, Do I just pull on it like the lower part or is there some hidden bolt? I also need to know how to get the speaker board in the back out, I want to put cloth on it because I have a High Power Stereo (2 12in Subs and 2 6x9's with a 400 watt amp) and the board buzzes so loud you can hear it outside of the car. Any responses would be appriciated.
