Where did you find the intake manifold for the cleveland heads?
: I've currently got a 69.5 mav with the i6 200 in it. I want to upgrade to a v8, but i'm on a budget that some of you may not have to deal with. Right now, i'm trying to decide:
: Should i put a 302 in, and spend the money i save on putting some cleveland heads on(which i already have)--2V--, with all the custom stuff i need (manifold, etc...) to make a fake BOSS 302; or should i put a 351 in? Keep in mind that since i have neither a cutting torch nor a welding machine, i would have to pay for all the custom work of cutting out the shock towers. I also would end up running the stock 302 headers since i don't have the money to do even more mods to put good headers in.
: I have a friend who is tearing down an old Torino four door and giving me almost anything i want off of it, so i already have a 9" rear, front discs, and a v8 tranny. He has the cleveland in, but the engine itself is in poor condition and i don't want to do the mods for that to fit in.
: I realize that there's "no replacement for displacement", but would there be a big difference?
: So, which should i do, the BOSS 302 or the Windsor?
: Thanks!
