Not really on the floor shifter...
I have a 73 with the split bench, and have installed a B&M cable driven floor shifter. All that was needed was a 1 inch hole for the cable to go thru, and the mounting bolt holes. This stuff can be covered when you get the buckets.

: Before I get headers, I think I need a floor shifter which means I need buckets seats which means I need money. :-)

: : I'm looking at the summit Catalog and see headers for Maverick @ $79 and crossover kit @$32. Can you get the muffler shop to go from the crossover pipe back for $175? If so, you'd have an excellent exhaust system for $286.

: : I went to a couple local shops yesterday to get an estimate on exhaust systems. Shop "A" said they would run a full 2 1/4 exhaust with cross-over and 2 chamber flowmasters for $480 or use the existing pipe and cut it just before the "Y" and run 2 1/4 from there with cross-over and flomasters for $420. Shop "B" said they would cut it at the "Y" and run 2" with Dynomax turbo mufflers and no cross-over for $275. I'm going to a couple more shops today but I'm leaning towards the cheaper one. Any problems with this setup? My plans for the car are eventually an Edelbrock Performer manifold and carb and possibly a mild cam. By the way, the current exhaust up to the "Y" is fine.
