I always thought that I'd build one with the same type of "roll bar" used in a Shelby Mustang, as well as other bracing and the requisite subframe connectors. I was thinking the best way to do it would be to install all the body bracing first, and THEN cut the top off to avoid any flexing or sagging during the process. Just some thoughts...

: : : I did chop a mav top once. it was already stripped to the core and I thougt "I wonder what a conv... mav would look like".. the body lines are PERFECT! of course the saftey thing comes in to play but then again looking cool is always high on my list and saftey has been known to take the back seat in these odd instances
