The car was originally a manual trans. All the lockouts are somewhere on the steering column. The auto trans that I put in has no lockouts on the linkage of the trans. Before, I could start the car in drive or any gear if I wanted to. I still can start the carn now in any gear, but I have to jump the solenoid from under the hood. Hopefully it will not drive over me one of these days. Thanks for responding.
I'm still thinking it is this mystery switch buried somewhere in the steering column. Can anyone out there point me to where this switch is at or what color coded wires lead to it.
