If you decide to post it and dont get any takers dont let it get trashed, give me a price and I may take it off your hands to have as another spare or until someone else needs it. I am in Central Georgia and can find 73 -74's and that is about all in salvage yards around here .

: The In the trunk one is in good shape. It was all covered In Oil from the old motor that was in it.SO there wasnt any rust.Im not sure if the sending unit is good or not.I havent put any gas in it.

: : The 69.5 and 70 are the only year that goes in from the trunk however I am not sure if all others 71 on interchange. I do know that having a 69.5 myself and tring to find a gas tank or sending unit for it was almost impossible so if it is in good condition keep it that way because when someone needs one they are few and far between. I wound up having mine plastic coated inside which seems to be working for now and I found one in a salvage yard but it is bent in from sitting on a muffler on the ground. Post it on the board if its workable and someone may need to take it off your hands.

: : : Okay,I have a 72 comet GT im working on,and the gas tank is missing. It Mounts Under the car, instead of in the trunk. My parts car(70 maverick)Mounts in the trunk,so it dosent help me any.Does anyone know when they started mounting them under the trunk???Or is this just a difference between the MAverick and comet.Anyone have any idea???????Thanks...
