Here's my free advice (and worth every penny): I personally would put more value on the center caps than the wheels. Slotted "mags" were ubiquitous in the '70s & therefore can be had cheap. You would have a better looking car with Torque-thrust's, especially if you paint the spokes to match the car (unless it's green metallic). Don't offer more than $100 each.

: There's a Maverick running around here that I've been watching for quite some time now. It's a '74, 2-door, 250 with air and a decent interior. The body is kind of rough with lots of little dings and rust everywhere, though it doesn't look that bad from a distance. It's nothing particularly special except for the fact that it has a perfect set of aluminum slotted wheels with Maverick center caps in almost perfect condition. Today I finally saw a "for sale" sign on it so I rushed over to read it. The guy wants $2500.00 for it!!!! I did my best to keep from laughing, but I just keep thinking about those wheels. I really don't need / have space for another car (especially this very plain one) but I was wondering what you all thought those wheels would be worth provided he would be willing to sell them separately. I really don't have any idea of their value, other than to Maverick nuts like all of us here . I was thinking about offering him a set of plain steel wheels that I have here, just to sweeten the deal. What is an attractive offer?
